Columbus Portal was developped in the framework of the EU project ELAN (01/2008 to 06/2009) by ILT Solutions GmbH, Qualitus GmbH, based in Cologne, ILT Solutions Ltd UK, Cranfield, and estakada.pl, Warsaw. On the Scientific front, the project was accompanied of teams from the University Duisburg-Essen, and the University of Applied Sciences, Fachhochschule Koblenz.
